The COVID pandemic has had a big effect on beef cattle numbers for this year’s Royal Easter Show. Entries in the combined classes for Poll, Beef and Australian Shorthorns have followed the trend. There are 15 entries overall.
Of the 15, six are Australian and Beef Shorthorns.
Five Australian Shorthorns will be exhibited by Scott Bruton, ‘Roly Park’, Lake Boga, Vic.
Sarah Sutton, Sulky, Vic has entered a Junior heifer, a Beef Shorthorn.
Beef cattle are to be judged on Friday 2 April at 2pm.
Scott and Sarah have also entered four steers in the carcase competition, Scott providing three and Sarah one.
Steers are to be judged on Thursday 1 April.
The fact that Scott and Sarah are making this effort in a most difficult year is a great credit to them. It would have been very easy to do what many others have done – do nothing about this year’s Show. The Society wishes them great success.
